An Early Look At Windows 11 WSL2 Performance Against Ubuntu Linux

Windows 11 WSL2 was coming in slightly behind Windows 10 21H1, similar to our bare metal Windows 11 tests too. But keep in mind this is still an early Windows Insider Preview build and may be attributed to extra debug changes currently shipping with these builds. We'll see as Windows 11 RTM nears how the performance of WSL2 is looking.

In any case, at least for the CPU-focused benchmarks WSL2 continues to perform quite competitively with a bare metal Linux installation.
