MySQL/MariaDB appeared to be helped slightly by FSGSBASE being enabled.

The biggest beneficiary of the FSGSBASE patches were the read/write tests with the PostgreSQL database server seeing significantly better performance, but the read-only workloads with PostgreSQL went unchanged. The significance of this change for PostgreSQL was very surprising and with time will be testing more systems and other database servers to see if this is indeed quite a widespread improvement for this area.

With a few workloads, FSGSBASE did appear to regress the performance.
