Radeon Linux Gaming Performance: Ubuntu 17.04 vs. Ubuntu 17.10

First up with BioShock Infinite, not much of a chance in performance except for the R9 Fury running faster with this CPU bound game under Ubuntu 17.10.

The RX 580 and R9 Fury are running faster with Ubuntu 17.10, possibly due to AMDGPU DRM improvements considering the R7 370 that uses the Radeon DRM driver saw its performance unchanged, while all three cards make use of the RadeonSI Gallium3D driver. The X.Org results are correct in terms of the benchmark but not for overall gameplay. Due to CS:GO + GNOME windowing issues that still haven't been fixed by Steam for setting the proper window hints, there's an issue that can occur with this game if running automated benchmarks.

At 4K, the R9 Fury was inching higher with Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is running much faster on the RX 580 and R9 Fury with Ubuntu 17.10 while the R7 370 performance was only slightly better. Nice to see the R9 Fury increase in speed for this game by almost 40% thanks to the continued RadeonSI Gallium3D optimizations.
