The Xonotic first person shooter's game performance was very close between Zink and RadeonSI when running on the Radeon RX 6800 XT.

Beyond OpenGL for gaming, Zink also works for other software like the ParaView workstation visualization software. In some scenes the Zink overhead was quite excessive but in other areas Zink performed very close to RadeonSI.

Zink could handle the Java OpenGL pipeline with j2dbench easily and delivering quite good performance in this area for Java 2D with OpenGL.

When taking the geometric mean of all the different OpenGL benchmarks carried out, Zink with RADV was about 86% the speed of the RadeonSI driver on the RX 6800 XT graphics card. In some areas Zink performed close to the same (and sometimes even faster!) while in some of the more demanding games is where Zink currently came in at roughly ~80% the performance of the dedicated hardware OpenGL driver.
