Google Chrome 50 Released With Wayland Support

The exciting day has continued of open-source/Linux news with Google now releasing Chrome 50.

Chrome 50 has 20 security fixes, including some high value CVEs. Most exciting about Chrome 50 to Linux users though is that the Ozone-Wayland support has been mainlined.

As indicated by the log, the Wayland platform support has been merged! At long last, this work that started out by Intel OTC for Chromium has reached mainline in Chrome. I have yet to try Chrome 50 on Wayland, but if you give it a go, be sure to report your experiences in the forums.
