KDE Plasma 5.11 Officially Released With Vault, Better Wayland & More

The KDE developers have today announced the stable release of Plasma 5.11 as their autumn feature update.

Among the changes in Plasma 5.11 are:

- Vault as a new system for dealing with encrypted documents and files in a secure and user-friendly manner.

- The new redesign of the KDE System Settings area.

- Notification history support.

- Task manager improvements.

- Improvements to the App Launcher Menu.

- Improvements to the Plasma Folder View.

- Better Snap support in Discover.

- A variety of Wayland improvements with the KWin compositor, XWayland improvements, HiDPI improvements, and unifying other X11/Wayland code-paths.

Meanwhile, the next feature release is Plasma 5.12 due out next January and it will be an LTS release.
