SUSE Gets Bought Out Again
SUSE's parent company The Attachmate Group has been bought out.
The publicly-traded Micro Focus company has bought out the privately-owned Attachmate, which bought out Novell back in 2010 that owned SUSE at the time. Micro Focus is a British supplier of computer software and consulting services to large corporations, largely around upgrading from legacy platforms and mainframes. Micro Focus is buying Attachmate through a reverse-takeover for a $1.2 billion dollar deal and the combined capital and debt of the new firm is valued at $2.35 billion USD.
