The open-source community working on OpenMW as an engine re-implementation of Elderscrolls III: Morrowind have announced the release of OpenMW v0.37.

OpenMW 0.37 lands their OpenSceneGraph implementation which is now used as their graphics engine. Switching to OpenSceneGraph is yielding better performance and fixes many issues, according to the developers. Those not familiar with OSG should visit OpenSceneGraph.org.

Besides this huge graphics engine change, OpenMW 0.37 implements more functionality from Morrowind, now supports building with Qt5 and FFmpeg 2.9, improves the OpenCS game editor, and fixes a whole bunch of issues.

More details on OpenMW 0.37 can be found via the official release announcement posted to OpenMW.org.
