Besides the CryENGINE 5.4 release happening today, Epic Games has made public their first preview release of the upcoming Unreal Engine 4.18.

Epic Games has been baking a variety of improvements for Unreal Engine 4.18. Some of the improvements include a unified XR engine layer for VR/AR systems, volumetric lightmaps by default, improvements to precomputed skylights, HTML5 output improvements, a much better media framework, clothing and physics improvements, audio updates, and a range of other work.

The only explicit mention of Linux changes in Unreal Engine 4.18 Preview 1 is allowing Visual Code to be used to write code on Windows/Mac/Linux with this IDE.
