The crew working on the open-source Unvanquished game powered by their Daemon Engine announced their Alpha 47 release last weekend.

Unvanquished Alpha 47 as the first monthly release of 2016 brings Breakpad support for having a built-in crash reporting system. Unvanquished Alpha 47 also has a number of bug fixes, a new "Medistation" model, new movement changes for the "human" players, and a variety of other changes.

More details on the Unvanquished Alpha 47 release can be found via Unvanquished.net.

Back in 2012 is when they were planning for a beta in 2015 but now being into 2016, I haven't seen any communication from them whether they feel their game or game engine will be ready for beta this calendar year.
