Open-source photographers can now enjoy digiKam 5.5 as the latest version of this high-quality free software photo manager application.

The digiKam 5.5 release has improvements around thread management for better spreading the load on CPUs, the similarity tool has been improved, a garbage collector has been added for digiKam databases, enhancements were made to the batch queue manager, and there are more than 100 issues closed for this release.
