Linksys Finally Provides DD-WRT Support For Latest Routers

Linksys has gone ahead and is finally providing open-source DD-WRT support for their latest WRT routers.

The Linksys WRT1900AC, WRT1200AC, and WRT1900ACS routers now have support for the third-party DD-WRT open-source, Linux-based firmware. The devices are compatible with OpenWRT's Chaos Calmer release.

More details on this long-awaited DD-WRT support for the latest Linksys products can be found via this press release.

The WRT1900AC can be found for around $160 USD while the lower-end WRT1200AC will set you back just $100 and then the new WRT1900ACS goes for $230.
