Many Phoronix readers have been inquiring about any Linux hardware review and benchmarks of the Dell XPS 15 (9550) Skylake laptop. Here are some Linux benchmark resources.

For the many that have been asking in recent months about benchmarks of the Dell XPS 15 Skylake laptop, unfortunately, it doesn't look like we'll have in-house Linux tests of this latest-generation Dell laptop. Dell has never sent out product review samples to Phoronix for Linux testing. Unless that changes by chance in the near future, we're unable to test the new XPS 15 due to not having the budget to go out and buy any laptop that interests us either.

However, for some solace, many from the community have been uploading their own Dell XPS 15 9550 benchmarks using the Phoronix Test Suite. Over on our OpenBenchmarking.org are many of these Dell XPS Linux benchmarks that have been made public, including some more that were uploaded by independent users today and thus motivated this post.

Simply go checkout the Dell 0N7TVV on OpenBenchmarking.org, which is the model number for the new XPS 15 9550. There are many different benchmarks by the community of this laptop on openSUSE and Ubuntu.

If you are looking to buy this new Dell XPS, checkout Amazon.com and NewEgg. If buying from our affiliates using these links, a small percentage of any purchase you make goes back to benefit Phoronix for future Linux hardware reviews as well as furthering the development of our open-source Phoronix Test Suite and OpenBenchmarking.org software.
