HITMAN On Linux Will Work With Mesa 13.0+ Or NVIDIA
Feral announced earlier this week they are releasing HITMAN for Linux while today they have just published the system requirements for the Linux port.
As usual, the GPU is the most interesting point to look at in a Linux game's requirements. This OpenGL port by Feral is fortunately going to work with just not the NVIDIA proprietary driver but also RadeonSI on Mesa.
HITMAN on Linux states the minimum requirement is a GeForce GTX 680 or a Radeon R9 270X. But the recommendation is a GeForce GTX 970 or Radeon R9 290. HITMAN on Windows recommends a GTX 770 / R9 290 and the minimum requirement there is a GTX 660 / HD 7870 when using its Direct3D renderer.
For the NVIDIA cards they recommend the 375 driver series or newer while the AMD support is with Mesa 13.0.3 or newer.
Great to hear that HITMAN will run with the RadeonSI Gallium3D driver and work with the latest Mesa 13.0 point releases too rather than just Mesa 17.0+.
HITMAN is expected to be released for Linux next week. More details on the system requirements at Feral Interactive.
