It looks like Feral Interactive might be getting closer to releasing their first Linux game port using Vulkan.

Feral Interactive has said they are planning their first Vulkan Linux ports in H1'2017 and now seeing some Intel "ANV" Vulkan work by a Feral developer might mean they are getting close.

Alex Smith of Feral Interactive has landed support for shaderStorageImageWriteWithoutFormat into Mesa mainline. The shaderStorageImageWriteWithoutFormat device feature is about letting storage images not require a format qualifier to be specified.

Alex Smith did the few dozen lines of ANV code to implement this extension as well as related SPIR-V code. These are the first two commits by this Feral developer to hit Mesa Git master. These patches had been on the Mesa mailing list since earlier this month.
