WAYLAND
Per the Wayland 1.11 schedule, Wayland and its reference Weston compositor saw their v1.11 beta releases during the night. Wayland 1.11 remains on target for release at the end of May.

Not much changed with the Wayland 1.11 Beta (1.0.92) compared to the 1.11 alpha earlier this month. Major features of Wayland 1.11 include support for proxy wrappers, improvements to the SHM shared memory code, enum improvements, and documentation enhancements.

Changes meanwhile for Weston 1.11 include work around libweston and changing how backends are initialized, IVI shell improvements, build system improvements, many client fixes, numerous bug fixes, and other changes.

Wayland 1.11 remains on track for releasing at the end of May. More details on the beta release can be found via the Wayland mailing list.
