It is that time again when attempting to draw a few concluding remarks about this product. Initially when the Super Talent T800UX2GC4 had entered our labs its specifications of being DDR2-800 and 4-4-3-8 were certainly competitive but we were quickly confronted with motherboard compatibility conflicts. Both the i955X-based Abit AW8 and AW8-MAX failed to POST with this Super Talent memory. Turning to AMD's new AM2 components, the T800UX2GC4 had worked appropriately. Unfortunately, due to the choice of motherboard used, we were unable to deliver the overclocking results. However, compared against Corsair's ever-popular XM2-5400UL modules, in some of the Linux benchmarks the Super Talent memory had the advantage while in the other scenarios the results were flip-flopped. According to Super Talent, the modules should have no problems surpassing 1000MHz at 5-5-5-15 timings, though we will refrain from directly commenting on its overclocking ability due to the pre-production motherboard that we had used. One of the sticky problems that we had run into with this memory, that other enthusiasts could likely face, is the adhesive used to bond the heatspreaders to the memory ICs. Even when going through our process of over-volting, and other steps to ensure the safe removal of the heatspreaders, the adhesive was certainly much stronger than others we have come across. Certainly, enthusiasts should not attempt to remove these heatspreaders. Ending off on a positive note, the Super Talent memory does boast a limited lifetime warranty. Super Talent's T800UX2GC4 2 x 1GB memory kilt can be found for approximately $280~320 USD.
