Examination:

The front panel on the Temjin TJ09 is made of 5.0mm aluminum while the rest of the body is 2.0mm aluminum. The exterior has a brushed aluminum look and is very nice to say the least. Like the TJ08, the TJ09 front panel has no door to conceal the external 5.25" drive bays. At the front of the case are four 5.25" and one 3.5" bays. Below the drive bays are the power and reset switches along with the power and HDD LEDs. Due to the unique mid-section cooling duct on the TJ09 that avoids the hard drive area there is no air intake on the front panel. At the bottom of the front panel is a SilverStone moniker. No ports are on the front panel, but rather the audio, USB, and Firewire ports are on the top of the case with a flip-up lid.

On the side of the SilverStone Temjin TJ09 we have our first glimpse of the unique mid-section air duct. In order to provide appropriate ventilation to the two hard drive cages that support six hard drives, on both side panels is a metal mesh and between the two hard drive cages is also room to mount a single 120mm fan. Also in both side panels is an intake area where there is a 120mm fan mounted to push air towards the expansion slots and any graphics cards. We will have more information and pictures on this air duct once opening up the chassis. Towards the end of the side panel is the acrylic window that shows the motherboard and power supply areas.
