First up are the OpenCL benchmarks followed by OpenGL.

The max single-precision flops measured in this OpenCL test were 21x faster going from the 9800GTX to GTX 1080. Even going from the GTX 980 to GTX 1080 is an 86% improvement for this benchmark.

What's equally impressive is the performance-per-Watt improvements. For the same test, the number of GFLOPS-per-Watt improved by around 22x when going from the G92 graphics card to the GTX 1080 Pascal.

The OpenCL FFT single-precision test in SHOC also shows a magnificent difference: both when considering how far NVIDIA GPUs have progressed in eight years and even just comparing Pascal to Maxwell.

The SHOC OpenCL MD5 hashing and JuliaGPU tests also show the remarkable NVIDIA GPU performance evolution since 2008.

It will be interesting to see how the rest of the Pascal line-up compares.
