EPYC offering eight DDR4 memory channels allow for excellent memory performance in tests like Stream. The 7351P has the same 8 x DDR4-2666 support as the EPYC 7601.

In some of the pure memory micro-benchmarks, the 7351P may come out ahead due to the higher base clock frequency over the 7601. The Intel Xeon Gold 6138 processors offer six-channel DDR4-2666 memory support while obviously in a dual socket configuration with 12 DIMMs, it will offer higher memory performance. The Xeon Silver 4108 meanwhile has six memory channel support at DDR4-2400 speeds. The 7251 is the lone EPYC CPU to be limited to DDR4-2400 speeds.

With NPB's embarrassingly parallel test, the EPYC 7351P is in line with expectations considering its a 16 core / 32 thread processor. The 7351P is even able to come out ahead of the lone Xeon Gold 6138 CPU that's a 20 core / 40 thread part with lower base frequency of 2.0GHz while it can turbo to 3.7GHz.
