CP2K Molecular Dynamics benchmark with settings of Input: H2O-DFT-LS. EPYC 9754 2P: SMT On was the fastest.

The CP2K molecular dynamics package was a bit mixed with no real change for SMT when running in the 1P configuration but in 2P there was a measurable benefit to having SMT enabled.

NAMD benchmark with settings of ATPase Simulation, 327,506 Atoms. EPYC 9754 2P: SMT On was the fastest.

Similar to CP2K, with NAMD as well there was a nice speed-up when running EPYC 9754 2P with SMT enabled while for 1P the results were rather flat.

libxsmm benchmark with settings of M N K: 128. EPYC 9754 2P: SMT On was the fastest.

Libxsmm also saw some benefit from SMT only when running in a 2P configuration.

Xmrig benchmark with settings of Variant: Wownero, Hash Count: 1M. EPYC 9754 2P: SMT On was the fastest.

The Xmrig CPU miner with Wownero did benefit greatly from the SMT support found with the Zen 4C cores.

John The Ripper benchmark with settings of Test: bcrypt. EPYC 9754 2P: SMT On was the fastest.
John The Ripper benchmark with settings of Test: WPA PSK. EPYC 9754 2P: SMT On was the fastest.
John The Ripper benchmark with settings of Test: Blowfish. EPYC 9754 2P: SMT On was the fastest.
John The Ripper benchmark with settings of Test: MD5. EPYC 9754 2P: SMT On was the fastest.

All the John The Ripper OpenMP-threaded tests benefited a lot from SMT found with the Bergamo server processor.

John The Ripper benchmark with settings of Test: MD5. EPYC 9754 2P: SMT On was the fastest.
John The Ripper benchmark with settings of Test: MD5. EPYC 9754 2P: SMT On was the fastest.

SMT improved the power efficiency for John The Ripper with the CPU power consumption only going up slightly.
