With the FX-8320E review sample, AMD also sent over the MSI 970 Gaming Motherboard.

The MSI 970 Gaming motherboard supports AMD's current line-up of FX/Phenom/Athlon AM3+ processors, supports up to DDR3-2133MHz memory, offers USB 3.0 + Serial ATA 6.0, and various MSI extras like Audio Boost 2, Killer Ethernet, OC Genie 4, Click BIOS 4, etc. This ATX motherboard has two PCI Express x16, two PCI, and two PCI Express x1 slots.

I'll write more about my MSI 970 Gaming experiences in a separate Phoronix article shortly but overall I haven't run into any issues with it over the past month of usage. It's played fine with the Linux environments I've tested it under.
