AMD FX-8320E Performance On Linux
In going back to the Unigine Valley test shown earlier in the article, the AC system power consumption level as measured by the WattsUp Pro showed it on average at 290 Watts or 382 Watts when overclocked. The tested Intel CPUs led to a power consumption range of 290 to 327 Watts.
When working out the performance-per-Watt, all of the Vishera CPUs were fairly close to one another and measurably behind the Haswell processors for Unigine Valley.
The FX-8320E temperature with air cooling was 29.5C on average or 33C was its peak during Unigine Valley. When overclocked to 4.4GHz, the temperature increased by about 20C.
