Like Unigine Sanctuary, Unigine Tropics was by far the fastest with the Catalyst driver on this AMD Kaveri APU. The Linux 3.18 and Mesa 10.5-devel driver stack though does bring performance improvements over the October state of Ubuntu Linux.

The light Urban Terror game was also much faster when using the AMD binary blob rather than the open-source driver code.

Moving over to Xonotic, arguably the best and most demanding open-source shooter game right now, showed significant performance improvements with the latest Radeon Git code but Catalyst still was faster for this AMD A10-7800 setup.
