AMDGPU vs. Radeon GCN 1.0/1.1 Benchmarks With Linux 4.10
For the rest of the results, no real changes in performance.
Overall, except for a few select cases, the AMDGPU vs. Radeon performance on the Linux 4.10 kernel for GCN 1.0/1.1 generations is about the same speed. Of course, ignoring the XFX Radeon R9 290 I test with where on AMDGPU it does perform great while the Radeon DRM remains in an oddly regressed state. So no real surprises if you're thinking of enabling the AMDGPU experimental support for your Southern or Sea Islands graphics hardware on Linux 4.10, but at least no major regressions, I didn't run into any stability problems, but your mileage may vary if trying to use the RADV driver.
