The Avanti CB350S sounds really great on paper and in looking at pictures and videos on the Internet, but in reality there's some engineering shortcomings. Besides finding a few scratches on the outside and inside of the unit when it arrived (ordered via Amazon on my behalf), installing the tap handle was the first nuisance. A metal tab on the front of the unit for lining up with the tap handle appeared slightly too wide and only after applying much force and attacking the tab from an angle was I able to get the tap head installed.

One of the advantages of the Avanti Beer Dispenser is that it can accommodate nearly any five liter beer barrels/kegs -- this is quite useful since America it's possible to find some good German/Austrian beers available, such as Spaten, Stiegl, Wurzburger Hofbrau, etc. Unfortunately though the next nuisance with the unit is tapping the barrel. Installing the Avanti adapter onto most five liter barrels involves stabbing the keg's top breathing hole with a knife/screwdriver. Once doing so, some amount of beer will spray out, followed by sliding on the Avanti adapter that latches onto the edge of the barrel.
