SVT-AV1 benchmark with settings of Encoder Mode: Preset 8, Input: Bosphorus 4K. x86-64-v3 was the fastest.
SVT-AV1 benchmark with settings of Encoder Mode: Preset 12, Input: Bosphorus 4K. No v3 or v4 was the fastest.
VVenC benchmark with settings of Video Input: Bosphorus 4K, Video Preset: Faster. No v3 or v4 was the fastest.
OSPRay benchmark with settings of Benchmark: particle_volume/scivis/real_time. No v3 or v4 was the fastest.
OSPRay benchmark with settings of Benchmark: particle_volume/pathtracer/real_time. x86-64-v4 was the fastest.
OSPRay benchmark with settings of Benchmark: gravity_spheres_volume/dim_512/ao/real_time. x86-64-v3 was the fastest.
7-Zip Compression benchmark with settings of Test: Compression Rating. x86-64-v4 was the fastest.

For workloads being built by the user from source and without any compiler flag changes to those applications under test, the underlying operating system package differences didn't equate to any performance gains in the benchmarks tested.

Timed Linux Kernel Compilation benchmark with settings of Build: defconfig. x86-64-v3 was the fastest.
Timed LLVM Compilation benchmark with settings of Build System: Ninja. x86-64-v3 was the fastest.
Timed LLVM Compilation benchmark with settings of Build System: Unix Makefiles. x86-64-v4 was the fastest.

Code compilation though was consistently faster using the x86-64-v3 or better packages.

OpenSSL benchmark with settings of Algorithm: SHA256. x86-64-v4 was the fastest.
OpenSSL benchmark with settings of Algorithm: SHA256. x86-64-v4 was the fastest.

Not much of a difference was observed in the system-supplied OpenSSL.

OpenSCAD benchmark with settings of Render: Pistol. x86-64-v4 was the fastest.
OpenSCAD benchmark with settings of Render: Mini-ITX Case. x86-64-v4 was the fastest.
OpenSCAD benchmark with settings of Render: Projector Mount Swivel. x86-64-v4 was the fastest.

There were a few advantages to the x86-64 feature levels for the OpenSCAD open-source 3D CAD modeller provided by CachyOS.
