It didn't take long before finding that Debian 11 is indeed delivering very nice performance uplift on the Intel Xeon and AMD EPYC servers... As expected given the Linux advancements over the past two years especially in better supporting newer hardware.

In some test cases the performance is similar, but often times moving to Debian 11 was meaning measurably better performance thanks to the much newer kernel, the more recent GNU Compiler Collection, and other updates.

In some workloads we were seeing AMD EPYC Milan expanding its lead with Debian 11 while the Intel Xeon Scalable 3rd Gen performance was flat.
