With the lightweight Portal game, it was interesting to see the Wayland-based Plasma session yield higher performance than under the X.Org session while the GNOME X.Org/Wayland frame-rates were similar as well as seeing good performance out of LXQt.

Rise of the Tomb Raider was hanging during the loading screen when trying to run on the Wayland-based GNOME/KDE sessions.

Talos Principle worked fine with Vulkan on all tested Linux desktops and with similar performance.

The open-source Tesseract OpenGL game saw lower performance when running on the MATE desktop environment.
