Intel Core i3 7100 Kabylake Linux Benchmarks

With these games tested not being heavily multi-threaded and the i3-7100 having a CPU clock speed up to 3.9GHz, it actually runs well for gaming in comparison to the Core i5 7600K. The i5-7600K's HD Graphics 630 are clocked slightly higher at 1.15GHz rather than 1.10GHz.

A couple other CPU benchmarks between these two Kabylake processors for reference.

During the benchmarking process and using an Arctic Cooling Freezer i11 heatsink, both of these Kabylake CPUs were running in the 40C range with peak above 50C during the benchmarking process.

The system power consumption wasn't too different during testing with the i5-7600K looking like it's still doing some funky behavior with the P-State governor.

Those are my initial Linux test results for the Intel Core i3 7100 after having this processor for just a couple of days. Stay tuned for more tests in the days ahead including more OpenGL/Vulkan data, the Core i7 7700K tests, more tests from Clear Linux, and other interesting Linux benchmarks.

The Core i3 7100 currently retails for $119 USD on Amazon.com.
