With the SQLite embedded database benchmark, the Intel Optane SSDs with their 3D XPoint memory always show off. This is also the test where the Samsung 950 PRO NVME has always performed notoriously bad.

The Optane 800p isn't as fast as the 900p SSD with PostgreSQL when running one instance, but it's pretty darn close.

In the read-only test, the Optane 32GB intended to be just used as a caching device was the fastest. This MEMPEK1W032GA always performs fast for reads but struggles with writes given its focus.

With more demanding PostgreSQL testing, the Optane 900p comes out much further ahead than the 800p.
