The graphics tests shouldn't come as much of a surprise if you went through the original HD Graphics 530 Linux article. The Core i7 5775C is running much faster due to having the eDRAM cache, which the i5-6600K lacks and Intel won't be rolling out an Iris Pro Skylake for some time. Also keep in mind the Haswell and Broadwell CPUs tested are Core i7s while my lone Skylake test system is a Core i5.

The average power use of the Core i5 6600K was higher than the i7-4770K but lower than the i7-5775C and A10-7870K during this Linux OpenGL testing.

When it comes to the power efficiency, the Core i5 6600K was well ahead of the Haswell and Kaveri systems but behind the Core i7 5775C with its high performance graphics.

With Valley, the Core i5 6600K performance matched the A10-7870K while the power efficiency was a step ahead of this high-end AMD APU.
