During the course of running many benchmarks, the Xeon E3 1245 v5 system had an average AC power draw (as measured by a WattsUp USB power meter) of 45 Watts with a peak of 73 Watts. This was significantly less than the Core i5 6600K having a power draw average of 66 Watts with a peak of 103 Watts. While clocked the same, the Core i5 6600K has a TDP by Intel of 91 Watts while the Xeon E3 1245 v5 comes in at 80 Watts.

The performance-per-Watt for Himeno put the Xeon E3 1245 v5 nearly tied with the Core i5 6500 and well ahead of the Core i5 6600K, as mentioned already due to that similarly clocked part having a higher TDP.
