Starting with the timed ImageMagick compilation test, the results were nearly the same across the five file-systems that were tested. EXT4 was the fastest at 125.15 seconds, but the slowest file-system was XFS and it was just 0.63 seconds slower. Had a faster Intel Penryn processor been used over the 2.4GHz dual-core one we were using, these results would likely have been more spread out.

Like the timed ImageMagick compilation results, with Parallel BZIP2 compression the file-systems had performed nearly the same across the Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 notebook with X25-E file-system.

Again, there is not much to note from these LZMA compression results. The CPU will be the limiting factor.
