RadeonSI NIR Benchmarks Show Great Progress With Mesa 20.0
The Unigine performance was the same -- or a frame or two higher in some cases.
When taking the geometric mean of all the OpenGL Linux tests run, the Polaris / Vega / Navi graphics cards saw a percent or so uplift in enabling NIR. We weren't expecting any dramatic changes but the important outcome of this testing is no major regressions left in using the NIR code-path while also benefiting now from having OpenGL 4.6 support when NIR is enabled. Hopefully we'll see NIR flipped on by default for RadeonSI with Mesa 20.0 due out next quarter.
