The OpenArena results are not any more promising. The GeForce GTX 460 with this latest Git code as of 28 March is nearly ten times slower than the latest proprietary driver from NVIDIA Corp.

At 800 x 600, the binary blob is 2.93x faster than Nouveau on the 9800GT, 1.86x faster on the GT 220, and on the GTX 460 the spread expands to 5.94x.

When going from 800 x 600 to 1920 x 1080, the spread between the community and official driver goes from 5.94x faster to 16.69x faster.
