In a texture read bandwidth test via SHOC, the RX Vega 64 on ROCm 1.9 was now happy and it came in between the GTX 980 Ti and GTX 1080 Ti. The RTX 2080 Ti with its GDDR6 video memory meanwhile was twice as fast as the GTX 1080 Ti in this particular test.

On a performance-per-Watt basis this was still a big improvement over the previous top-end GTX 1080 Ti card while the RX Vega 64 power efficiency was just in line with the Maxwell era GPU.

In SHOC's FFT benchmark, the RX Vega 64 was coming close to the GTX 1080 Ti but the RTX 2080 Ti now jumps in with a 48% boost to the performance. This FFT single-precision test was another case of the generational improvement being larger going from Pascal to Turing than Maxwell to Pascal.
