NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN X On Linux

Metro 2033 Redux and Metro Last Light Redux remain my favorite Linux graphics benchmarks when it comes to those that are wrapped around Steam. The Metro Redux Linux tests are able to run cleanly and run nicely within the Phoronix Test Suite, but sadly there's nothing in the way of being able to customize the graphics settings when running the benchmark mode, so the two games were running with their default settings.

Metro 2033 Redux at 4K on Ubuntu was 12% faster than the original TITAN and about 10% faster than the GTX 980 Maxwell. The Catalyst 15.3 Beta Linux driver remains in a less than desirable state for running the Metro games on Radeon GPUs as shown by the R9 290 not even keeping up with the GeForce GTX 960.

The TITAN X was operating in the 70s while running this demanding game.

The power efficiency remained less than the GTX 970/980 but still well ahead of the original TITAN and other Kepler-based hardware.

The Metro Last Light Redux performance isn't too different from Metro 2033 Redux and showed the TITAN X continuing to lead as it should for costing a grand.
