Conclusion:

It is not often that we review notebook coolers at Phoronix, but testing out the NZXT Cryo LX was certainly time well spent. The Cryo LX is very durable, quite large to accommodate all sizes of notebooks, has adjustable fan speed support, and it did a great job at cooling our tested Lenovo notebook. What is there to not like about this notebook cooler? Well, not allowing the fan speed dial to turn the three fans completely off is a bit disappointing. The NZXT Cryo LX is also fairly expensive where at stores like Xoxide.com it retails for $70 USD. If though you are in need of a heavy-duty notebook cooler that can effectively cooler your notebook, we would highly recommend you look at the NZXT Cryo LX.
