Radeon Gaming/Graphics Performance: Windows 11 vs. Linux GPU Benchmarks

HITMAN 3 runs on Linux by way of Valve's Steam Play. With the Radeon RX 6800 XT and its mature driver support there was similar performance at 1440p between Windows and Linux. With the Radeon RX 7900 XTX though and that fresh driver support, the Windows driver support was in better shape than Linux. But still, not a bad showing for the RX 7900 XTX with its open-source driver support considering it has been primarily Valve working on the RADV RDNA3 support.

When pushing HITMAN 3 to 4K, the Windows performance was now solidly better than the Linux results for both the RDNA2 and RDNA3 hardware tested. With HITMAN 3 on RADV for the RX 7900 XTX was still some corruption issues experienced at the bottom of the screen for that Linux driver.
