Benchmarking Valve's RADV+ACO Yields Fastest Open-Source Radeon Vulkan Driver
Rise of the Tomb Raider with the Valve ACO shader compiler now tended to outperform AMDVLK.
DiRT Rally 2.0 running on Linux via Steam Play and DXVK also tended to see better performance that was either competitive with or outperforming AMDVLK.
If looking at the harmonic mean of all the frame-rates for the different games benchmarked, the ACO shader compiler led to a 4% improvement and that was enough to put it now ahead of the AMDVLK driver across the wide range of Vulkan Linux games -- both native and Steam Play -- titles tested.
