The HDDBOOST performance though appears to have slipped with the compile component of the Compile Bench test profile.

The first sign of the HDDBOOST providing dramatic performance gains is with the read compiled tree component of Compile Bench. When running just with the 300GB Western Digital drive its speed was 40MB/s, but when using the HDDBOOST it jumped up to 68MB/s.

With the 8GB read performance in IOzone there was a 39% speed-up with the HDDBOOST.

When running 12 Dbench clients there was no change in performance.

When the Dbench client count was knocked up to 48, however, there was a 71% spike in performance.
