Benchmarks: AMD Ryzen 7000 Series Performance Boosted With Ubuntu 23.10
In some of the video encode benchmarks there were some small gains enjoyed by the Ryzen 9 7950X on Ubuntu 23.10.
With the newer Ubuntu releases pulling in newer GCC compilers, build times often increase when moving to the newer compilers due to more optimizations focused on increasing the speed of resulting binaries, etc. But with GCC 13 on Ubuntu 23.10, build times improved for both AMD and Intel.
It's nice seeing Ubuntu 23.10 with GCC 13 building packages faster than Ubuntu 23.04.
