With the OpenArena benchmark, Ubuntu 15.04 ended up being marginally faster than Windows 10 for each of the graphics cards tested. Of course, OpenArena isn't too demanding and easily playable under most graphics cards on any OS, but for what it's worth it showed Ubuntu Linux with a slight lead.

Interestingly, Xonotic v0.8 showed Windows 10 doing much better than Ubuntu 15.04 while both were using the latest proprietary drivers and Xonotic is using the same OpenGL renderer on both platforms. Regardless of graphics card, Windows 10 showed a CPU bottleneck with 250~280 FPS for the graphics cards tested while Ubuntu with the latest NVIDIA Linux driver didn't experience this luxury. Even the GTX TITAN X on Linux was reporting a lower frame-rate than the GTX 750 on Windows.
