Bryce Harrington tagged the release candidates for the forthcoming Wayland 1.7 and Weston 1.7 versions.

Bryce, who is now employed by Samsung, is managing the Wayland 1.7 series. A few weeks back he tagged new Wayland/Weston alpha versions. The new Weston depends upon the latest libinput support, has an IVI shell, presents a Presentation Extension, and there's many bug-fixes. Wayland/Weston 1.7 isn't to be a huge release like some of the earlier versions, but is another quarterly stable update.

Bryce tagged the new versions over the night for marking the first release candidate. His previously expressed plans have a second release candidate coming in about one week and to have the official 1.7.0 releases out around mid-February.
