Qt 5.2 Plans Are Laid With New Features

With Qt 5.1 finally being released soon, Digia has begun to formalize plans for the Qt 5.2 tool-kit successor. Qt 5.2 is anticipated for a November release and will carry new features and functionality.

While Qt 5.1 is just around the corner, Digia released Qt 5.0.2 today as the second stable point release update. Qt 5.0.2 incorporates more than 600 improvements in 17 different modules of Qt 5.0.

Earlier this month it was noted about the Android support being merged for Qt 5.1 of the popular open-source tool-kit. Digia shared on Monday morning that they are also planning to merge Apple iOS support ahead of Qt 5.1.

Qt 5.0 Beta Not Here Due To Difficulties

While the Qt 5.0 Beta was supposed to be out in July, it was changed to release the Qt 5 beta in early August. We're now half-way through August and there's no signs of an imminent beta. It's now been said that "some things have been a bit more difficult lately" leading to a delay in Qt5.
