Intel Tiger Lake Performance Between Windows 10 vs. Ubuntu 21.04 Linux

For single-threaded audio encoding tests with MP3 (LAME), FLAC, WavPack, and Opus, Ubuntu 21.04 was delivering notably better performance than Windows 10.

Likewise for video encoding the Ubuntu 21.04 performance was much better off.

Ubuntu 21.04 also had a strong lead in the imaging benchmarks like LibRaw, libwebp, avifenc, and others.

For other heavy multi-threaded benchmarks like chess programs with Stockfish, Crafty, and Asmfhsih, Ubuntu continued to have a nice lead.

File compression performance with Zstd, LZ4, and 7-Zip was close.
