Ryzen is doing well with Parboil's OpenMP workloads where it can even beat the Xeon E5-2687W v3 CPU that is ten cores plus Hyper Threading.

But for the Rodinia OpenMP workloads, the ten core Intel Xeon Haswell CPU comes out on top and the E5-1680 v3 at eight cores plus HT is slightly faster than the Ryzen 7 1700, albeit the Zen CPUs are cheaper than the Xeon competition.
