Linux 4.12 Ubuntu Benchmarks With AMD Ryzen, Intel Kabylake - 12 Systems
Ryzen is doing well with Parboil's OpenMP workloads where it can even beat the Xeon E5-2687W v3 CPU that is ten cores plus Hyper Threading.
But for the Rodinia OpenMP workloads, the ten core Intel Xeon Haswell CPU comes out on top and the E5-1680 v3 at eight cores plus HT is slightly faster than the Ryzen 7 1700, albeit the Zen CPUs are cheaper than the Xeon competition.
With Rodinia Streamcluster, the Ryzen 7 1700 takes a noticeable step back in performance.
With HMmer, the Intel Core i7 7700K comes out on top.
While in the Numpy Python workload, Zen does very poorly and comes out behind all of the tested Intel CPUs.
