Like the Intel results, Redis performance appears to benefit nicely from the FSGSBASE patches.

Cassandra write performance was up by just over 3%.

Memcached performance appeared to benefit slightly from the FSGSBASE work.

The AMD EPYC performance didn't appear to benefit as much as the Intel Xeon server in the limited tests done so far of these tentative FSGSBASE Linux patches, but there still were at least some gains found particularly for workloads like Redis and Memcached. Additionally, no major regressions or other issues uncovered with these testing patches. Then again with AMD EPYC Rome already outperforming Xeon Cascade Lake (Refresh) in most workloads, any improvements like these FSGSBASE patches are just icing on the cake. More FSGSBASE tests once seeing these patches finally hit the mainline tree.
