AMD Ryzen 5 4500U Benchmarks - Previously Unimaginable Performance For Sub-$600 Laptops

With a subset of the systems tested for those with integrated graphics, here is a look at the Renoir graphics capabilities for the Ryzen 5 4500U. For serious gamers you still will want a dGPU solution, but at least for light gaming and any desktop use-cases the graphics found with Renoir are very capable -- just make sure you are on the latest Linux kernel.

The Ryzen 5 4500U performance is just slightly lower in the graphics / light gaming tests than the Ryzen 7 4700U. The Renoir graphics are a hell of a lot better than aging Intel Gen9 graphics and depends upon the workload for how the performance compares to Intel Gen11 Ice Lake graphivcs.
